Abstract
Natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods and erosion occur each year in the world. Due to its geographical location, climate conditions and geographical location, Turkey is frequently exposed to natural disasters locally. Furthermore, Turkey is located on the North Anatolian fault line which is one of the most active fault lines of the earth. The Marmara earthquake that took place on this fault line in 1999 has greatly affected the cities in the region. Sakarya is one of the most affected cities and is located at the western end of this fault line. For this reason, Sakarya province, which always has great risk, was chosen as a study area.
