Abstract
Liquefaction potential of silty soils became an important study subject after the 99 Marmara Earthquake in Geotechnical Engineering. Studies on this subject have been continuing with increasing intensity. At Sakarya University, silty soils continue to be investigated by both in-situ and laboratory studies. In this regard, an important contribution to the literature has been presented with the Adapazarı Criteria method. As is known, liquefaction of the soils is directly related to the coefficient of permeability. In this study, the permeability coefficients of silty soil samples, which were prepared at different clay ratios, were directly measured by the falling head permeability test. As a result of the study, the relation between the liquefaction potential and the permeability coefficient of silty soils has been revealed.
