Producing Electricity Energy by Obtaining Landfill Gas from Municipal Waste

Nowadays accumulating, destroying and regaining of this waste is becomig an important problem. Environment is badly damaged because of bad scent of unaccumulated waste, chemical waste and flow of dirty water into the land. When we consider the enviromental problems caused by waste and increasing energy demand, energy production by destroying waste seems to be the best and the most appropriate method for the solution of these two problems. In this paper, it is mentioned about producing electricity through landfill gas which has an important role among our renenewable energy resources by exploring our country’s energy politics generally. In addition, the landfill gas facilities operating in our country are examined and given some information about the facilities.
