Abstract
This paper describes the stability of the pile system used to ensure the safety of houses located on a hillside with time used on a road deteriorated after every heavy rainfall. The piled system was used to prevent landslides have occurred on the road in the south-western slopes Sakarya province, Karapürçek County, Kanlıçay Location. 3 rotary drilling were carried out in the study area, their total depth is 29.5 meters. Physical and mechanical tests was carried out on samples taken from borings for the landslide investigation. Soil mass which is moving at the different times has been approximately 35-40 meters wide and 60-65 meters long. As a result of investigations it has been found that the landslide occurred because of increase in pore pressure. The results of the slope stability analysis showed that the road and homes can be prevented by using a cantilever retaining wall which is settled on the piled system.
