A Fuzzy Algorithm Developed For Inventory Grouping and Application

Abstract
Companies which does not want to lose their market share and ability to adapt changing competitive conditions,needs an effective inventory control in order to reduce costs or to control and to make plans for the long term. Efficient stock control and management policies are largely affects the future of the company. One of the most important activities in stock management is the inventory grouping. According to the stocks with different functions and uses in many different ways, to effectively manage and evaluate them in the most advantageous way, stocks should be grouped based on several criteria. In this study, for the companies, especially stock-based configuration management policies are in use, a new grouping algorithm has been made for benefit of them.With the algorithm that considers about multiple criteria, inventories will be grouped in many different ways according to the needs of businesses active attributed.
